Skills

In our immersive universe, skills represent the wide array of abilities, proficiencies, and expertise that your characters can possess. They encompass everything from physical prowess like acrobatics and martial arts to mental acumen in areas such as history, linguistics, and cryptography. Skills can also represent your character’s knowledge and ability in more specialized areas, like magic use, piloting, or even esoteric studies like demonology.

Skills are a crucial aspect of character development, defining what your character is good at and how they interact with the world around them. A skill can be the difference between picking a lock or kicking down a door, sweet-talking a guard or starting a bar brawl, making a careful plan or charging in headfirst.

The skills your character possesses are determined by their background, training, experiences, and natural aptitudes. Every character begins with a set number of points to invest in skills. As your character levels up and progresses through the game, they’ll gain additional skill points that can be used to further improve their abilities or learn new ones. Each skill is connected to a particular attribute that influences how effective the skill is when used.

In Last Daydream, your characters can be as unique and diverse as your imagination allows. Skills are a way of expressing this diversity and opening up a plethora of tactical and roleplaying options for your games. Whether your character is a sword-swinging warrior, a charming rogue, a knowledgeable mage, or an enigmatic psychic, the skills they acquire will help shape their journey and contribute to their growth and evolution.
